worried about side effects

Have been on 50 for a year and doc has put me up to 100 since tues, i have not had any side effects yet but im sure they will kick in soon, just want some advice to see if others have had side effect when there dose was upped or were you lucky enough not to have any....doc said i might have side effects but not as bad as when i first started the meds

I started taking sertraline on the minimum 50mg, I finished those in 3weeks and had some terrible side effects at first but they subsided after a week I got used to 50mg but still had mild effects, and then I was moved on too 100mg and the effects were so terrible I stopped taking them ASAP!.
I had mania, hallucinations, insomnia, mental blockage, joint/muscle pain etc.
I felt like I was on a multitude of different drugs (and not the legal kind :/).
But like I said side effects vary from person to person and I also think it depends on age and predicament.
Im 16 and looking for natural remedies to substitute for my problems.
