i feel like my inner monologue isnt mine, separated from it and alien to my own thoughts. this feeling has lasted days now. been in a state of panic for weeks.

It's just that depersonalisation / derealization thing :)
I get it bad when I'm anxious or having a migraine, or am PMSing,
Don't focus on it, it seems to make it worse. Just ignore it, watch TV, talk to a friend, play some back ground music.
Other causes are being low on vitamins such as B12, hormones, not eating enough-low blood sugar, not drink enough water and the biggest factor I find is lack of good sleep.
