Anxiety and depression... help!

Hi, I'm new... looking x support and somewhat help to control my illness situation. I had so much stress since my divorce (20 years ago), then moved to this country away from family and friends. I'm taking alprozolam daily, but my doctor want me to switch to prozac. I read that this drug is for depression. Scare me to think that it cannot helps when i have panic attacks. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Prozac is approved for use with panic disorder - it's not just an antidepressant.

It may take some weeks for its benefit to be felt, so hang on to the alprazolam for a while.

Hi I suffer from anxiety and depression and the best thing to do as well as the medication etc is knowledge and research, when you learn more about it you will find that its not as scary and there are people that are recovered from this condition, its just a very long journey I know this myself, but if they can do it so can we :)
