Hi all.
I am 5'6 and weigh 11 and half stone.
Ive done my waist to hip ratio and that cane out as 'good' as my waist is smaller than my hips = pear rather than apple shape.
According to my bmi I am in the overweight camp.
I don't feel massively overweight but it says on the nhs website that I am at higher risk foe heart problems etc which is always an issue with me.
But in the contradiction my waist/hip measurement says im low risk.
What can I do?
Am I overweight?

11.5 stone would be classed as overweight yes

Being overweight is just one issue - others include diet, how much you exercise, smoking, alcohol, cholesterol etc

I meant to add that when I was 11 stone (a long time ago) people said I looked fit and healthy and didn't need to lose more weight.

I hate the way they say what weight you should be for your height

I don't smoke, only drink alcohol occasionaly, drink water everyday and fruit & salad.
Don't know my cholesterol but I do exercise once or twice a week.
Go badminton every weekend mostly and skip with a rope quite alot of the time.
How much do you weigh now if you dont mind me asking?

I am nearly 14 stone!

You sound pretty healthy to me then with all that going on.
