Being Away From Home

I don't normally manage well with travel or being away from home. But I've booked a 5-week trip to South Africa and I'm terrified. So I'm testing myself with a week in the Cairngorms. I'm not spending every day wishing I was at home, I'm not counting how many more nights until I can go home. I'm just enjoying myself :-)

Still no home-sickness. Very strange! So hopefully I will be OK in South Africa next year.

Today I've been to Abernethy RSPB reserve to see the ospreys. Before I'd even got out of the car I saw some red squirrels and a crested tit, so it was a very good day. Tomorrow I'm going monster-spotting at Loch Ness!

Yes, I'm much happier on my own. Between my anxiety and my ME and IBS, some days I just can't face going out, or physically cannot, so this way I do not have to worry about spoiling anyone else's holiday.
