I was just watching the programme emergency bikers and they said 1 in 20 people will have a seizure in their lifetime. Does that not sound like a high number? Little bit worried about it and trying to rationalise why it would be that high?

Hiya

It's not really a high number when you think of the number of people in the world. In most cases anyone can have just one seizure in their lifetime and never get another. There are a small number of people which includes me that go onto having full blow Epilepsy.

My advice to you would be try not to worry about it. :)

I think 1 in 20 is only 5%, and I guess it includes all the people who have one when they're a baby, which is reasonably normal and doesn't cause any problems later on.

Thank you, you backed up my thinking so I'm not so worried now. Little steps!
