I'm just wondering (forgive me, I'm new to this site and have never used chats/forum threads before)...

Sometimes I have an ongoing sensation in my chest. It feels like when you almost fall backwards in your chair and then catch yourself, except it's constant. I believe this in anxiety and I am wondering if this is the feeling of cortisol being released into my body? It's a concrete physical sensation, like a hot/cold flooding feeling in the same part of my chest every time.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Yes - I have had this type of thing - actual pain/ache in the chest. Each time I think 'this is it, heart attack time!'
When I have a glass or two of wine, the symptoms disappear, so it's reassuring, but of course, now, I am relying more and more on the wine!!! Catch 22!

Me too. Had a panic attack this morning. One of my worst yet.

Thought my time was up. Heart racing, pain in left arm and sweating. Felt foggy in my head as well this time which is a new symptom for me. Really frightening these REAL physical sensations.

Am now sat in pub having a couple of pints because like you, the symptoms go.
