Could a knee brace cause DVT?

So yet another health anxiety worry.
I am panicking that the knee brace I have been wearing may cause a DVT.
Its an elasticated knee brace but as my knee is a little swollen, could this be doing more harm than good?

Hi there. I would have thought the opposite, because when you go on a long haul flight or have an operation, you get the tight stockings to put on to prevent DVT.

You wear elasticated stockings to stop you getting DVT's so they won't cause one.
