Everyday for four months I have constant shoulder pains mainly left side and sometimes my pecs feel bruised. My skin is irritated / sensative feels like little pins being stabbed in my chest, sometimes my shoulders feel like their burning / cold sensations. Doc says irritated nerves by muscle tension. I often find that my left shoulder is raised slightly, is this all anxiexty? Or bad posture or both? When Im lay in bed I feel fine until I get up, If I stayed in bed all day I'd feel normal. Been through cancer, heart, tumour anxiety but now fear neuro problems. Got neurologist appointment finally but not until late June. Any one else have similar problems?

Every day at the moment!!! Mine are exactly as you describe and my GP also told me it is anxiety related / posture related. Because mine are all left sided it makes me worry more.

I feel like my body is under attack from within. I am also ok during the night. In fact I look forward to bed time because I know I will get some respite while I sleep. Mine usually come on within an hour of waking up. I keep telling myself it is muscular and due to anxiety, but it is a horrible way to live.

Good luck with the neurologist and let us know how it goes.

Thanks or reply Charlie, I keep telling myself posture because it makes more sense than anything else, I was fit nd well in December, then I got palps, gone down hill ever since. I found myself tensing up everyday with my shoulders up to my ears. I'm more conscious now but think I body is used to being in this position so when I drop my shoulders my collarbone aches. I found a website which I think is called spinal health or correction centre (can't remember which ) which describes many symptoms which mimic many disorders so who knows which it is! I hope in a way it is poture because this can be fixed although it will cost money ( chiro, massage ect).

I am the same, my neck, shoulders, ribs and diaphragm area are so tense, and no matter what i try to do it never seems to ease up. The worst is my upper stomach area under my ribs, it hurts so much that it affects my appetite. I have to keep trying to relax that area as i tense it without even realising.

I am trying relaxation methods at the moment and I stand under a hot shower but though it helps at the time as soon as it is over I am back to normal.

I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist in July, though I know he will just say it is muscle tension but my GP wanted to get it checked out.
