I have suffered from general anxiety for about 12 years and have been on 20mg of citalopram for the last 8 years following a breakdown. I was doing ok although the last 5 years haven't been great with a divorce, bereavement and relationship problems. About 6 months ago I started getting panic attacks again. My gp increased my dose to 30mg at the end of last year with little effect and so upped it to 40mg two weeks ago and signed me off work. I feel terrible!!!! Severe anxiety every morning, I can't eat, I can't concentrate. I have just been sitting in my house for the last two weeks with my mind constantly racing. Today is my first day back at work and I am really struggling although finding this forum and realizing that I am not alone is a bit of a comfort :)
