Mind chatter but noise :-/

Hi, not been on here for a long time as felt quite a lot better recently, well up until last week :weep:, got a new-ish symptom (I say new-ish as I've sort of had it before when I was younger when I was dabbling with drugs and got anxious whilst on them). anyway its driving me mad, its really hard to explain, its like mind chatter but its just noise, almost like a beeping noise sometimes or other times like an echo repeating over and over in my head, I know I cant actually hear a noise but I keep thinking of this noise, its not like tinnitus where you can actually hear that in your ear as I have a bit of that, this noise is totally imagined and I know this so why can't I shake it off, GRRRRRR its driving me metal :mad:

anyone ever had anything like this ????

Hi Rob I had that quite bad when my anxiety flared up last time, and last night I had a real bad night with racing thoughts/noise.
My consolation is last time I had 6 days with no sleep and I didn't even feel tired, yawn or anything. Whereas today I'm yawning like a gooden so I'm telling myself, my anxietys is passing, ill sleep well tonight.
It's horrible and I can sympathise but it does pass x

i felt like that, ringing the doc screaming asking if i was going to have it forever. it does go though, its just really unpleasant and annoying. *hugs*
