does anyone else who suffers with health anxiety hate watching certain programmes are looking at certain news papers...?
seems they are just always full of people with ill health and it makes me worry straight away.

the news tonight talking about cardiac arrests - worried straight away im gunna have a heart attack.

the news papers - people having brain tumours and suddenly dying - worries me shitless.

and even certain tv programmes/ soaps etc. so worrying!!!!!!

please say im not the only extreme worrier...???

No you are not alone, I am an extreme worrier, I am finding it more and more difficult to read newspapers and watch the news, in fact I avoid the news and try and only read certain bits of the paper. I even struggle with magazines as they are full of true life stories which upset me especially if they are health related.

I am a serious worrier as well. I have stopped watching all medical dramas and health programmes, including embarrassing bodies, 24 hours in A&E. I don't watch soaps.

The worst thing is for me is online daily mail and other online papers, plus newspapers and morning breakfast show (Breakfast news or Daybreak) the classic Dr Google and cancer/disease websites should be a no go for me.

i totally understand how you guys feel
i hate the real life section in magazines i totally skip it, and if i catch a headline it stays in my head all day.

the dr google and cancer websites cause me severe anxiety
as do the cancer/heart failure adverts etc

god help us :(
