scared of dental work

I have to get a filling this afternoon which will require local anaesthetic and im terrified. Im not scared of injections or the actual dental work but im scared to death of the anaesthetic. Im so scared of an allergic reaction or that it will react with the Propranolol I am taking.

I am terrified of anything to do with the dentist and one of my main worries like you is that I will have an allergic reaction to something they give me.
Explain to your dentist how you feel and tell him about the propranolol you are taking so he can put your mind at rest :-) They are used to people being very anxious and remember any allergic reaction is extremely rare xxx

Hi Cassy, thanks. I did mention Propranolol 3 weeks ago and she said she would look into it so hopefully if there was a problem I'll have had contact from them.

Could you have the filling without the injection?

Nope I have quite a bad cavity :-(
She also told me to completely stop drinking fizzy pop of any type. I LOVE fizzy pop lol.
