Painkillers addiction and anxiety?

Hello

Does anyone else notice that during HA episodes you are more LIKELY to take painkillers? 'just to see if it helps' or 'to keep the pains at bay' or 'take my mind off it' ??

I am taking ibuprofen every 4 hours 4 times a day, I am worried what my glands will feel like if I lapse. I have also taken asprin and paracetamol.

My bedside table is like a frigging medical waste bin!

Yes i do this. If my anxiety is bad i take paracetamol a couple of times a day, and yes it seems to help. I'm not sure whether this is mind over matter?? I did read in the Daily Mail the other day that a survey showed that paracetamol is supposed to help bereavement anxiety, so who knows!! :)
