I'm just worn out from my health issues and worry about them. A lot of docs have told me that I'm not in danger of dropping dead, but it's very hard to believe them. Eating makes me hot and sweaty, climbing stairs makes my heart pound, walking makes my heart race and/or i collapse, I have a near constant ache in my left arm and sore chest. I'm 21 and I've been housebound for four months now. All the heart tests they did were normalish and I'm getting no medical help until I see an autonomic dysfunction specialist in 6 weeks. I'm getting mental help but my physical symptoms are just dragging me down.

I can't do any of the things I like doing and I'm never well. At times I find it very hard to shake the feeling I might be dying no matter what the doctors said. Everything is such hard work and I'm just so tired :-(

Hello Freaked,

I too am (was) exactly like you I was always looking for reassurance and even now I am convinced that something is wrong! But I think we need to realise that anxiety is such a strong force, and try working with it rather then against it (not that we really want to have to work with anything though really).

You say you find eating makes you hot and sweaty, that is normal with anxiety, as if u imagine you already have an anxious body so of course your going to react to doing something such like eating. Why not try to leave your plate in the kitchen and having little bits of it at a time, that way eating won't feel like such a task?

I am also the same, I just got something out of the fridge and walked to the other side of the kitchen and I have a fast and hard heart beat - all anxiety believe me I have gone to the hospital for that reason alone, I sometimes even think maybe this 'is it' maybe my heart has had enough!

I found CBT counselling helped me a lot, and after 2 years I'm co spidering going for some more sessions as my anxiety is back!!!!

The ache in the left arm is also normal but I u d'état and how unpleasant it is :-( I even get numbness right down to my left foot!!! That is adrenalin and also when your stressed, without knowing, your muscles can tense up, I always get stuff onto left and never my right!

I know you have probably heard this 100 times, but your are only young and a heart disease or anything relating would be very very very rare indeed - event DR said at my age (30) I should stop worrying until I'm at least 60!!!!

You sound just like I was a year ago. It lasted for about a year, and eventually my heart stopped pounding so hard and fast all the time. Now I'm worried because my heart seems to be too slow, and I get dizzy/lightheaded! Sometimes you just can't win, I'm a total crazy person!:roflmao:

I wish I had advice, just know you're not alone. I have good and bad days, but I'm really struggling today. Wishing you the best.
