Upper Left stomach sensations

Its funny, some days Im perfectly ok and some days like today I am a mess. The sensations I feel in the upper left side of my stomach freaks me out. I have had this many times before but its like its the first time all over again. I go into panic mode. Im thinking I have an ulcer, I am getting reflux after I eat or drink. I do have bowel issues IBS but this sensation is really annoying and frustrating. I am too scared to go to the dr - what if they find something wrong, how am I going to cope with the news..... Im too scared to get an ultrasound done I feel frozen and stuck. I feel so anxious, stressed and frightened. I hate feeling this way.

Wow this could be my post. Only I went to the doctor and even without tests, he pretty much much came to IBS.

It did not do much to reassure me, but I have had the same ymptoms off and on for over a year and no progression, no other symptom other than what you described as well as gas, so it is probably IBS made worse by anxiety.
