Wow after 12 years of having this I finally stumble across the words Globus Hystericus when a friend emails me thinking she is developing what I've been complaining about for years. When it all started I went to the doctor and he said it was stress, I went back a few years later and I did the whole barium drink andex-ray deal and they said it was still just stress. NO ONCE did they tell me the name of this affliction so for the longest time Ive been thinking that I'm one of the only people with this. Before when I looked online I always found a "cookie cutter" list of symptoms which mine sort of fit in but not really. After going through these posts I've found just how variant this affliction can be. I think just knowing now how many other people have this will help with the underyling stress of it.
