Because you expect them probably....so you get them!

Do you mean missed beats or just a fast heart rate? I get missed beats and flutters off and on through the day, and find that it can happen when I lie down too. Apparently it can be just the blood flow re-ajusting with the change of position...much like the people who suffer with lightheadedness when they bend down or stand up, until the blood flow settles again. Its really uncomfortable but kind of normal if you can understand that. My doctor suffers with missed beats so he always understands what I go through with them, and always reassures me about them :)

I had bad palps yesterday after I ate my dinner. My heart seemed to beat faster and faster... I couldn't breath, feel like short of breath. It was very scary and I had to go to the toilet and calm down. Then I felt intense buzzing around me - from feet to my head. It was really scary. Then the palps calmed down... it was strange. Do you get buzzing feelings with heart palps?
