BETA BLOCKERS AND ALCOHOL?

Iv'e just started taking propranolol Beta Blockers, very low dose
10mg tabs 3 times a day. Does anyone know if drinking alcohol
has adverse effects. It says in the leaflet to avoid alcohol but they nearly always say that with most medication.
Not on any other meds.
Does anyone out there take these any comments appreciated?

Hi i've took propranolol (3x40mg) for the last 6 years and have drunk like a fish every weekend with no problems what so ever. FLOYD
