Pain ovary area really worried

I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been getting sharp twinges that last a second on my left ovary, well it feels like my ovary, and i am really worried that something is wrong. This is my first baby so not sure what pains and stuff to expect. Does anyone know if this is normal to have this?

If you are concerned you could contact the midwife to get some reassurance but you can get little twinges anyway. If it is very painful then I would contact your GP. :hugs:
