I like coming to this website as it's comforting to remind myself of the symptoms of
Anxiety. I think not knowing what's happening you is scary.
Its good to realise these symptoms can and will
subside. I used to be convinced a food sensitivity
caused my 'strange feelings'. Now I eat balanced
diet and try to be at ease with myself. I startle easily and
one of my main symptoms is lump in throat feeling.
The key is to chew food well before swallowing.
I have noticed a great improvement in my sleep by not using
internet after 6pm. My mind can be still and not
absorb too much information before sleep. I also have very
tense shoulders but dwelling on it can only heighten the
feeling. I believe we have a creator and I pray. I don't go
to any church though as I believe they are man made.
I don't judge anyone though. I find anxiety makes me
more sensitive to things. However not all anxiety is bad,
Sometimes it's a good warning signal if something is not right.
If it's prolonged and very heavy its not right. Another key
for me is taking one day at a time and being content with
simple pleasures in life. And another big one: having
a good laugh is great and not to take yourself so seriously.
I believe love is the answer most of all. Love, Brenda
