Hi all,
You might have seen my thread on my recently discovered unequal pupil size! My right pupil is bigger than the left which I only noticed in the last few weeks. Sometimes they even out then sometimes (not very often) they change sides so the left is slightly bigger.

Anyway I just come back from my GP who said that she doesn't think it's anything to worry about at all and she thinks its benign, however 'to put my mind at rest' she could refer me to an eye specialist.

Should I be worried now?! I thought it was a good thing and then though could she be worried really but trying not to scare me?!

I'm so worried I don't know what to do :(((

To put your mind at rest are the important words she said so I think you need to focus on that.

Doctor's do these things just to reassure us sometimes and NOT because they think it is serious.

Jason, I went for a sight test this morning for this very problem! The optician measured both my pupils, tested their reaction to light and did all the other tests. They were both within the normal range of size difference and all other tests were fine. Her advice to me was that I've probably always had this and have only noticed it now because of my anxiety. She said lots of people have it and it's nothing to worry about. Hope this helps put your mind at rest! x

Thanks so much guys! But us with anxiety always focus on the negative! I just spoke to my mum and she shouted at me and said if it was anything serious then she would've referred you right away!
I've been to the optician and her and both are not concerned.
I still worry though!
But your replies have eased my mind :)

Also Lissa, how big a difference is the size of your pupils?
