I have not had it Melvin. But I have worked as a nurse and we had patients where their-xrays showed shadows on the lungs or lung, and this came from old pneumonias-it was scar tissue after those you see in the picture.
Quite harmless .... I hope and wish the best for you.

Hugs and thoughts

thank for your reply I find I cant stop crying as my mind runs away with me trouble is she does smoke and she has all the signs I know I should not google but when you have anxiety you just look for answers they have said its not a chest infection
we are waiting for a scan wich can take upto 2 weeks my wifes a lot stronger than me as she does not have anxiety
I cant understand why this has not even registered in my head to pack up smokeing my self my wife has

You could really show her support if you did it now. Please keep us posted. This is one time when being anxious is perfectly rational, remind yourself of that, and then try to focus on what your wife needs from you right now. Do normal things. go for coffee, have a walk, go to a film... xxx

That must make it even more of a relief. :flowers::flowers:

I'm sorry to hear that you have already lost a son though. The 5 or so years must have been incredibly tough for you all. And it's really nice that you thought of others in this when anyone would just be sighing with relief and giving him a great big hug & kiss and not thinking of everyone else.

I had an x-ray with a shadow on the lung but I was already ill with something and it turned out to be pneumonia. At least in my case it was evident straightaway so my parents didn't have to worry about the other possibilities which must have been stuck in your mind until you got the CT scan results.
