Ok. I've been trying really hard not to wind myself up and to not go back to the doctor's. But I'm sure I can feel a little bump on the inside of my upper lips. It's really freaking me out and I'm sure it's been there ages. I had an ulcer there not so long ago, so I don't know if maybe it's scarred or something, or whether there is actually even a lump there! I can't see it if I try to look, I can only feel it if I run my tongue over it or prod it. I've been trying to stop going to the doctor's, but I didn't show her that part and I'm thinking maybe I should go back. Any advice? Arrgh! I want to swap mouths and brains with someone.

Anyone? I've cracked and made an appointment but I'm gonna have to wait all weekend :(

As I cannot see it or examine it, it's difficult to give advice on this. However, what exactly does it feel like? Is it painful? Is it a hard lump? Does it feel like a round ball or a flattened disc? Any bleeding, pus, etc?
If you've had an ulcer in the exact spot, it could be a number of things, such as a recurrent ulcer or bacterial infection, but more likely it is simply taking a while to heal. Complications from mouth ulcers are incredibly rare, and almost always nothing serious.

Hi, thanks for replying. No it doesn't hurt, no bleeding or anything like that. Just feels like a little bump. I can feel little bumpy things on both sides, I wonder if its just always been there but is slightly more prominent. I've made an appointment anyway. I saw an ENT specialist a while back. But the reassurance has worn off. That was about my tongue though. So now I just think 'well you didn't show him that'. So frustrating!

In all honesty it doesn't sound like anything.

My doctor told me 'our mouths are full of lumps and bumps" i have a little one on the roof of my mouth behind my teeth, i also have two little bumps on the back of my throat. If it's not causing you any problems I wouldn't worry about it :)

Thanks for those replies :) Only just had a chance to come online. I have my appointment tomorrow. Noticed a new thing on the roof of my mouth, like a cut type thing. My family keep telling me it's off eating boiled sweets but I'm still freaked. Got doctors tomorrow. Hopefully I'll just be told not to worry!
