It may be asthma. A dry cough is the most common sign of this condition, especially if it occurs nocturnally, although it could be a simple infection. You should have a check up with your GP.

Nck444, even if it were bronchitis, pneumonia or TB it is 100% treatable, If you're worried pop into the chemist or go see your Dr who will be able to diagnose what's going on.

I've got the same dry cough - I thought it was just a bug I've picked up (I'm in Richmond London) but I also had Asthma as a kid so maybe its the pollen count? Whatever it is I'm sure its not serious and that it will disappear soon.

I have had some over last few weeks but pretty sure it's down to hayfever as I swallow mucus a lot.

I have started to get a dry cough and come to think of it, it has been since it has been warm?

Never had any signs of hayfever or asthma though!

It can also be a sign of acid reflux (which I get a lot).

I have noticed a significant increase in my respiratory symptoms since the weather became very hot though. Probably as a result of pollen/pollution.

Hi. I'm Jen, and I sometimes get a dry cough. I liken it to my post nasal drip. I have no congestion in my nose, but I do have a lot of gunk and phlegm in my throat that can cause it. Hope you feel better soon:bighug1:
