Hi fisher

Welcome to NMP. Dont worry about the goldfish bowl feeling, its just derealisation brought on by panic and anxiety, and although very unpleasant it will not drive you mad (yes ive been there too, losing my mind etc). Hope it gets better for you.

Yes that disasociation (even better if I could spell it :)) feeling is really pants!!

I used to get that loads and still do from time to time - it's all linked in with high levels of anxiety. What have you tried in respect of lowering these levels???

There are some smashing self help cd's and I am a firm believer in yoga.

Hi fisher and welcome to NMP,

I get this too, i have started to listen to relaxing music before i go out anywhere, it seems to help, i also find trying to distract my thoughts helps, e.g. while i was out yesterday i got that awful unreal feeling again, but started to count the cars in the car park! I know its sounds daft but it did work for me, its just a matter if distracting your thoughts.

Hope that helps

Love
Andrea
