I've just had a chicken lasagne ready meal from sainsburys.

I pre heated my oven for 15 mins at gas 5, I then put the lasagne in for 30 mins.

When I stuck a fork in for half a minute then onto the back of my hand it burnt my skin.

I ate it pretty much straight away. Some of it seemed cooler than other parts but I did put it straight onto a cold plate.

Does anyone know If the chicken would be pre cooked?

I'm worried about food poisoning.

Yes but as I said bits of it seemed cooler than others but was it because it was a cold plate?

Sweetheart, it was cooked. Honestly. I promise.

Yes, probably the cold plate.

You are fine. :)

Yes precooked meat usually. Ready meals usually say if they contain raw ingredients; one of the supermarkets does quite a nice 'luxury' fish pie that contains raw fish and it says so on the back.

I eat way too many ready meals... happen to quite like the sainsburys chicken lasagne too! I'm also very impatient and have eaten them less than 'piping hot' many times before now with no adverse reactions.

IMO ready meals are like canned food.... safe to eat cold if you want.
