Hi I'm Sam. I'm a nurse and live in Reading. Been suffering panic attacks for a year now and have finally been brave enough to see my GP. Been prescribed propanolol 40mgs and am starting CBT in a few weeks. I've never come across anyone I know who has suffered from this so having had a short browse of this forum I'm relieved there are fellow sufferers. I felt like I was the only one and just going mad and should MTFU. Can already see there are a huge amount of resources and support here so thanks in advance.

Small victory today. I managed to go into a few shops and walk through the high street with no panic attacks. I felt like one was trying to come out so to speak but it didn't. I've decided to not try and fight them, anticipate or dread them. Such a small thing has made me so happy. Thanks again for the lovely welcome.
