Hey all,

For a couple of weeks now I've hack a sore tender spot directly on one of my vertibrae between my two shoulder blades where the back arches as you bend over. I can't feel any pain but I press on it and the pain is there! I have lower back pain and neck pain and tension all the time because I do 12 hour shifts on a computer but I'm not sure that it would cause a vertibrae to hurt! Especially in the upper middle part of the spine!

Anyway now I think I've got cancer of the spine or something. :(

The vertebra itself wouldn't be hurting if it were a spinal cord tumour, and there would be neural symptoms due to compression. It's more likely that the pain is coming from muscles in the back. However, the only real way of knowing is investigation by your doctor.

Thanks Joel,

I do sleep in the most awkward positions and have bad neck most mornings.
I have no other symptoms apart from that pain!
