I have switched from Mirap to Prozac two weeks ago and was wondering what people on it can tell me?

At first it sedated me, but now I am really depressed. I suffer from Anxiety, agitation and panic and I initially thought this was causing it. I actually know it is, but could Prozac make you more depressed while they take time to work in your system?, making the depression that was already there worse?

Thanks,
Edd

Hi, yes. I've been lucky so far (Day 26). It knocked me out for a couple of days, I had headaches but since then I can feel it beginning to calm me down. But as with a lot of these drugs, a worsening of symptoms is potentially possible for a few weeks. I'm sure people will tell ou to hang in there - look up the treads on Fluoxetine.

Hi Speranza,

Well done for sticking with it even though you had side effects. I will have a read them and see if anyone has the same as me.

I have definitely been more anxious this last week than the previous two - but then my daughter has flown the Atlantic for the first time and I have heard my job has probably disappeared, so...

Thank you.It isn't straightforward. But basically I am off with stress partly because I'm a French teacher who was being asked to teach 6 other subjects. Now I've found out that French isn't on the timetable next year...

Jeez,

Have you asked about it?

<Hollow laugh> Oh yes. And about my illegal pay cut, and them lying on my referral to Occy Health. I've got off lightly really. A colleague who was off after emergency surgery which left him partially disabled, had a pay cut while he was off sick (so he would be cheaper), sorted that, went back, was welcomed back onto the management team with open arms, and then 3 weeks later called in for a Disciplinary meeting.

About his time off.

In hospital. :curse:

That's not one bit fair to be cut like that and then called into a disciplinary meeting because he was off sick. I would be livid.
