Hiya guys

I've been reading that a lot of people are suffering badly with the heat as it is triggering anxiety symptoms. After doing some reading on the internet I have compiled a list of tips and advice on how to stay safe and comfortable in the heat, especially as London and South East further reach into the danger zones.

- Drink plenty of cold drinks. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as it can dehydrate you more than hydrate.
- Avoid going outside between 11am-3pm. This will be hottest time of the day, but if you're sensitive to the heat then avoid going outside until maybe 5-6pm.
- Wear light coloured, cotton, loose clothing. This allows the body to sweat, but not too much, and allows the sweat to be evaporated, thus cooling your body.
- Keep light curtains closed. This stops the sun heating the room so much. Heavier and darker curtains can do the opposite though.
- Take cool showers or baths is you're feeling too hot. But not too cold!

Do remember that if you live near anyone who is elderly or has a serious illness then check to make sure if they are OK, especially if they don't often get visitors.

Take care and enjoy the weather :)
