I never saw any real benefits for about 8 weeks...I think it can vary from person to person but you do need to give it some time...good luck with it.

How long have you been on it now and how are you feeling?

Hi,

Setraline was the last one I was on, much better than Citalopram IMO. It will take 7 days to get into your system, but some can say they feel it working sooner. Sometimes just knowing that your taking something can make you feel calmer in yourself.

These meds wont cure how your feeling, but it will certainly take the edge off and help you cope much better. So please don't worry if you don't wake up after 7 days and no miracle has happened, it's different for everyone :)

Hope this helps and try not to focus on it too much :)

Week five. I feel like a zombie and have no motivation.

I think that at week 5 that could be pretty normal...hang in there. I had a terrible lack of motivation for weeks after starting my tablets...not sure I felt like a zombie lol but I did feel a little disconnected and foggy headed if that makes sense. I would give it another 3 or 4 weeks...as long as you are not having really bad side effects and you can manage these feelings it may just be worth it. Otherwise, if you are really worried go back and see your doctor about it ;)
