View Full Version : bump on roof of mouth?
Last night I found a bump on the roof of my mouth hard palate. Its about the size of a match head. It only hurts when I poke it with my finger. I don't remember burning my mouth. Any ideas of what it is? I have a doctors appointment on the 30 and I'll show him if its still there.
I don't know what it is, but I remember having that once or twice. I don't remember what happened but I haven't got any now.
Oral cancer isn't a fear of mine since I'm 22 and don't smoke or have any STDs . But its just so random. Currently I'm on a lymphoma scare.

It could be a small wart
Maybe I've never had one in my mouth nore have I done anything to get one
Most likely local trauma, although without more information I couldn't give you any more advice.
What kind of information?
Well being able to see it and examine it, blood test findings, physical examination of the upper GI tract, etc.
I've had upper GI scope couple blood tests in the past few months all completely normal. I go to the doc in a week and if its still there I'll have him check it out
The upper digestive tract includes the mouth, pharynx and oesophagus as well. A physical examination of the area would be quite quick and non-invasive.
thanks I'm not really worried about the big c, I was just wondering if anyone had had this before.
