sertraline allergic reation?

Hi I just started taking sertraline last night (6pm) , I only took 12.5mg (quarter of a tablet) and I have felt ok apart from itching, it started on my arms and has now moved to other places. I'm not sure what to do, some websites say its a severe allergic reaction :scared15:while some say its normal. Its 3:30 am so I cant call my doctor for advice. I'm scared. Has anyone else had itching on antidepressants?

Oh Well. I made it through the night so mustn't be too much to worry about ! :)

Hi Teal, and welcome.

I reckon you should call your GP today to check whether this could be a problem. Hopefully it's something that will die down, but it might be that this med isn't for you and something else might be better.

Hi thanks for your reply. :) The itching has stopped now thankfully. I think it has scared me off from taking it again, so I will need to look in to alternatives.
