My health anxiety has been so bad recently and now I'm really worried. I've been getting pain after swallowing food and drink, it feels like a burning sensation near my breastbone. I searched it in hope I might find something reassuring but all that came up was throat cancer. I'm female, 20 years of age and I know I'm still young. What else could it be? I'm panicking and cant relax, does anyone else get this.

Sounds like acid reflux/indigestion

I was told I had this ages ago but there's nothing you can do to stop it, is there?

Yes - I have medication for it and there are loads of things you can do:

avoid alcohol
avoid smoking
avoid spicy food
eat small meals regularly not large meals
eat slower

etc etc

Nicola beat me to it. Everything she said. See the doctor. It is VERY treatable.
