Hi all :D
Just got back from work and guess what???!!! I DROVE ALL THE WAY THERE AND BACK BY MYSELF!!!!!
I feel like dancing a jig - lol

For those of you that don't know - I have had an aweful driving phobia for about 14 years cuz I had my first panic attack behind the wheel and so I avoided driving all together thinking that if I didn't drive then I wouldn't panic - well you know how that goes - DIDN'T WORK!!!

But anyway I have, over the last 3 or 4 years started to drive a little but still I hadn't driven out of our small town because of the what ifs - what if I wreck or pass out or can't make it the whole way then I would be stranded in the middle of no where.

But today - my Gram who usually drives me back and forth to work couldn't and I knew I couldn't miss work either so I decided that I was going to drive myself!!!!
AND I MADE IT[8D]

I did feel a little 'foggy' now and then and I was on edge but so what!!!
I just thought I would let everyone know because I know there are alot of us on here that have driving phobias and I wanted to say - if I can do it - we all can:D

I know it's only a 15 minute drive and I have a long way to go before I can drive without feeling anxious but it's a little victory and those count too!!!
So if no one minds I am just going to blow my own horn and say - HORRAY FOR ME TODAY[:I]

woohooo three cheers for you, you did it!!! sometimes going in at the deep end is the way to go, i found that when my friend couldnt take my daughter to school and i had to go myself, it was the start of my recovery. every time will get easier, so big hugs to you for facing it head on :D:D:D:D
