So I'm at a computer for about 12 or more hours a day. I'm a photographer and film maker, and as such spend long periods sitting here editing.

A couple of days ago I noticed my left index finger twitch for a few seconds. The day after it did as well. Tonight my left middle finger twitched twice within a 5 minute span.

I haven't noticed this happen before, except about 7 or 8 years ago after a long time playing a video game.

Could this twitching be caused by how I often lean on my left forearm when working at my desk? I am also a little stressed lately, so not sure if that affects it.

Of course my health anxiety is screaming "Parkinson's!", but my logical self is telling me it is due to my computer use and posture.

Thoughts?

My right index finger did it for weeks a couple of years ago. I think it could be caused by a magnesium deficiency. Go to your local health shop and get some advice about the best thing to take for it.

I quite often get random twitches. after an initial period where I get angsty about it I can normally just pass it off as my body being abit weird. I did have a twitch develop in my eyelid - that freaked me out for awhile but it has gone now.

Yes to both ideas (posture and magnesium). They are both quite likely. Do you take regular eye breaks? When you do so, do a few hand exercises as well.

NB I'm not a medic. If it persists, see one. And DO take those breaks!!! :shades:
