Does anyone else get this?

The minute I wake up I am filled with dread. Dread that I'll be anxious, dread that I'll get panicky, dread that I'm not doing enough. This also happens when I wake during the night. The dread kicks in even before I am fully awake.

right are all your meds perscribed to you by the same dr? the reason i ask is that you seem to have quite alot going on and have you checked that they do not counter act each other, and how long have you been on them, i know prozac the generic fluoxtine, prehaps a higher dose would be helpful, however if you are just starting meds, they can take a while to have an effect, if you have been on them for quite a while then go back to the dr and get some advise as it would seem the meds are not doing what they should be, so get some professional guidance blessings

I wake up with dread everyday, dread of how the day will turn out :( it's horribly frustrating and my insomnia makes it worse.

I've been on the meds since last December. I felt like this even before I started taking them though, so I don't think it's them.

When my anxiety was at its worse I woke up like that every morning. I found the best thing to do was to get up as soon as I woke up, make myself some breakfast and a cup of tea then I just sit in bed and have my breakfast watching tv to distract me :) As soon as my cup of tea is gone I get in the shower and get dressed :)

I also wake up every single morning and go straight in to anxiety/panic, I get up rather laying there in dread it used to last all day but now once I am up have a cup of camomile tea it subsides after an hour. I hate it as its not a nice way to start each day but I try not to give into it, if I could crack this I would almost be there :)

Hi, I am new around here, glad to meet you all.
This is probably my worst "symptom". I wake up very early, I cuddle into my husband for comfort and do get some but eventually the thoughts or just the physical symptoms take over. My thoughts start racing, my arms get prickly, my chest feels like it has a tornado vacuum in it, then I start to shake and cry amd panic about everything in my life. I hate having to deal with this every morning and I hate that my husband has to deal with me and comfort me and get me calm enough to face my day every morning.
I took today as a day's leave off work and thought it might be better if I didn't have work to dread but no, it still happened. So I have seen doc today and he has upped me from propranolol when I need it to 3 times a day (40mg). I will let you know if it helps.
