for months people have been telling me the aches and pains i feel is muscular due to anxiety and bad posture so just now i did a little test i put my left hand on my left worktop and right hand on the other and held my weight and dropped down in like a dipping motion and felt the pain more across my chest and when i stopped it went. so i am thinking that it must be muscular for it to hurt doing that motion. if your not sure what dipping is just google it, its a chest exercise.
