Hi everyone-
I went to see my GP and we talked a while and I confessed that I truly believe 85% of my panic attacks are triggered by allergies/post nasal drip/feeling I can't breathe which leads to I can't swallow and so on...
So he gave me singulair (montelukast) -used to treat asthma as well as post nasal drip- to try since nothing OTC seems to help. So I took it last night and within 5 minutes I was a nervous wreck and was completely convinced I was having all of the horrible side effects I read about (slap my hand). I was so out of control I was begging my husband to take me to the ER, I was sure I was dying...
Eventually I fell asleep and today I feel better but a little shakey. I stayed home from work... So now I can assume I didn't really have side effects, but rather manifested them myself but I don't want to take it again...It takes weeks to build up to even work on allergies and I would love some relief but I can't go through last night again...
any advice?
