Dad... Nose bleeds.

For a whole now (over a year) dad has been getting loads of nose bleeds.
Lately it's been every single day.
Nose bleeds is a sign of high blood pressure which is a sign of a heart attack or stroke happening,
I am terrified!
He drinks a lot (about 6 beers a day)
I'm so down,
Any second now I picture me phoning 999 hysterically for him.

Its not always a sign of high blood pressure as I have had nose bleeds for years, often every day for months and my blood pressure is always around 100/50 which is very low.

But if you are worried you could try and mention your worries to your dad.

There are loads of causes of nosebleeds, I have had hundreds in my lifetime, usually in phases. I get them more often when I drink alcohol so that could be the cause. I've had my nose cauterised and STILL get them.

Remember that most causes of nosebleeds are benign.
