hi everyone,just found this site while browsing google and it really is an eye opener
im a 25 guy and have been suffering GAD sine i was about 17,it started really badly
then got better but it has went downhill real fast this year to the point were i am thinking of starting meds(even though i have a huge phobia of medicine)
anyway i have been looking through posts for a couple of hours and i actually feel better being able to talk and read about other people and there problems
anyway im excited so i just thought i would say hello

Glad that you have found this site :)
It is really great when someone finds us and realizes that they aren't alone in this!!!! I know that from first hand experience :)
I'm sure that you will find alot of great info and a bunch of supportive people here.

Your not alone with you phobia of medicines, like many others i also hate taking them, but after plucking up courage to take them they did help me get back on track.

Hi and welcome,I have a phobia of meds,but I manage to take Citalopram and beta blockers.[Yeah!];)

I have GAD too and don't take meds either. It's not that I avoided them, but rather I can't take some of the more effective ones as they would weaken the effect of other preventitive drugs I take.

Have you tried any kind of therapy at all and do you know the reasons why you suffer?

if im being totally honest,drug abuse
i dont a lot of stuff when i was younger that i regret more than anything in the world, E's speed etc and this is the cause i believe

i dont take anything now cant even take paracetemol,i dont drink as it makes me really really anxious and i stopped smoking at christmas)yeh for me)
