My brother aged 27 has been diagnosed with Ankylosing spondilitis.
He has gone through multiple blood tests from past one year but there seems no improvement. His health is getting poorer as time passes.
His blood test details are as follow
Date 26 SEP 2012
Hemoglobin - 15
ESR - 15
HLB27 - +ve

Date 19 Dec 2012
Hemoglobin - 12.4
ESR - 82
TLC - 11,000

Date 19 Feb 2013
Hemoglobin - 11.9
ESR - 95
CRP - 41.55
TLC - 5800

Date 02 Jul 2013
Hemoglobin - 10.5
ESR - 113
CRP - 11.1
TLC - 13100

There are other tests results as well. He is on a regular dosage of Indocap and Dovin. All I want to know is if these test reports are indicate any thing that is life threatening. Doctors (Rheomotologists and many more specialists like orthopedics) say, there is no proper treatment for this disease and the medication he is being given is to help him with stiffness and mobility.

Please advise if this can be cured and also if this is a life threatening disease.

Thank you!

You are obviously and understandably very concerned about your Brother.

But none of us here are doctors, so we are completely unable to read those results, understand them or advise you on what could be wrong and it would be completely wrong of us to even hazard a guess.

I think you should go and speak with the doctor who's looking after your Brother, they will be able to help you understand what the results mean.

We can offer you support for your anxiety anytime, so do come back to us if you feel you need support :)
