New here but not new to anxiety!

I had my first panic attacks back in 1981 after the death of my mother, I was at her funeral when I had it and I didn't even see her buried as I had to leave. The attacks lasted years and I became alcoholic which made things worse, far worse. I gave up the drink 24 years ago but have always suffered from anxiety at different levels especially about my health.

This is were I am now, in the last couple of weeks I have worried about various cancers and heart disease among other things. I went to the doctors after a fall at work and intended telling him all my worries but I thought he would think I was mad, as many doctors have.

I found this site while googling symptoms and I am quite relieved I found it although still very stressed, god help my poor wife.

So anyway hello.
