Hiya, I am the same too and it is anxiety! When I am standing still the same happens to me, sometimes it feels like little electric shocks through my body! It is really scary but I have never fainted, I think anxiety has the opposite affect! You have to let it pass you by and try not to worry about it, it is not harmful, it just feels that way at the time! I found reading the book by Claire Weekes 'Self Help for your Nerves' helped me lots and also this website! Keep positive hun, you will get there! x :D

Had this all my life off and on..Always happens when you least expect it...Sometimes when im not anxious.Ask the doctor about it,and he said that sometimes when you have a slight cold it goes up to your equilibrium and knocks it off just a bit and then you are ok.First time I had it thought I was having a heart attack...Had a panic attack and I was alone ,this was when i was in my teens, and i was alone so I went outside just to make sure that if I fainted someone would find me.Sometimes when im watching television the movement will freak my brain out and ill feel dizzy or even every night when I get on the computer the movement of the screen going up makes me feel like im having issues with dizziness when in fact its an optical illusion or maybe just the ear thing.I promise you I have lived with it since I was 14 and im 52 now so I think that you will be fine... I used to get it only when I looked up.
Turned out to be a pinched nerve in the neck.
Fine after a bit of massage.

I get this too. Sometimes's after I've been hyperventilating, other times I just feel dizzy out of the blue. Like a huge magnet is attched to my body. Sometimes i'm just sitting in a chair and i feel like I'm bobbing up and down like a float in the water.

It always passes, and i've never passed out and honestly don't believe that I will but it's really unpleasant all the same!

Hello there,

I have suffered with the symptoms you describe for about 6 yrs and I can assure you its all anxiety based. When I first had it I was whizzed off to see and ENT specialist, had an MRI scan and various balance tests and they ALL came back negative. It was then the specialist probed deeper as to when it came on what it felt like and he diagnosed it as anxiety induced and referred me for CBT.

Good luck and try not to worry I know its easier said than done!
