loft insulation.... fibreglass

Hi all
I have a small house and i am wanting to store some things in the loft but i am scared as there's some insulation up there and i know how harmful fibre glass is..is it ok to store things in a loft that is full of insulation thats on the floor etc?

Just asked my husband. he said it should be safe if you wear gloves and eye protection. We have lots of things up our loft, and I suppose you cold lay old sheet or paper on top first
