View Full Version : Constantly aware of my breathing!!

I am constantly aware of the "feeling" of my breathing. It feels like I am not able to get a deep breath. It is so scary! I have to focus just to get a good deep breath. I had the million dollar work up and there is nothing "wrong" with me....Does anyone else experience this? Air Hunger?

Hi gurso11,

I can really sympathise with you - I have been having a very bad time with my breathing awareness this year. Do you have anything you can do to help distract you? I find that losing yourself in a hobby that you really love helps. It is often easier said than done though, I know. Recently, I have been walking more, which helps clear my head when I am feeling particularly anxious, and helps regulate my breathing.

I really hope you begin to feel better soon :).

Thank you for your response. I was diagnosed with gad and ptsd earlier this year and it has not been an easy time for me. I think the worst part is the constant doubt and feeling like I am not alright.
