amitriptlyine day 17 feeling weird

Have been on Amiltriptlyine for just over 2 weeks (100mg since Thursday) and the feeling of anxiety is gone.... i do feel very disorientated with vertigo like symptoms since yesterday I have spoken to my doctor and he reassued me that these are side effects and are normal. Can anyone tell me please how long this will last?

I only take 50mg, but in the past have been on a much higher dose and it does make you disorientated, after about 3 weeks the side effects usually start to subside, just take it easy.
