Hi. I suffer from extremely low mood which develops into depression. I don't know when this will happen and when it does i find myself unable to function normally, making forward planning such as social activities difficult. I took early retirement about two years ago and have been prescribed citalopram which i find useless. The worst time for me in night time when anxiety and severe panic seems to grab hold of me. All my worst fears seem to come to the forefront and at times i fee, i may go over the top and go crazy. If i could only have something to calm me down on these occasions i think my life would get back on track. However i also understand that doctors rarely prescribe meds such as diazepan or such like.
