Hi All,

Had hyperventilation syndrome and bad breathing for 1 year and a half now.

Im strating to struggle with college etc and work because of this really bringing me down.

i was just wondering 2 things.

1. Is it normal to feel pain in back and chest when i breathe out?

2. is this website for real? http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/White29.html

It says it leads to heart attacks etc if im breathing bad.

I was also wondering if there is something wrong with you if you are not out of breath, just constantly thinking about breathing and muscles aching from over breathing.

Because now i over breathe without even feeling out of breath.

Its just a habit now, im always concentratin but not always out of breath

is there anyway this can be a disease?

I think im losing the plot.

Cheers,

-Jono

The pain is perfectly normal. As already said, it comes from tension.
About the website, that is an advertisement. If they get you scared of not breathing properly, you will buy their stuff and attend their seminars.
Never have I ever heard of someone suffering a heart-attack because of shallow breathing.
Just relax and try not to focus on your breath so much and you will be just fine.
Take care
